Arriving at the Johnstone-Sare Building in Bartlesville, Oklahoma is a truly breathtaking experience. As I stepped into the venue to coordinate Carly and Josh's wedding, I was brimming with excitement. The brick facade and the entrance embellished with a flower shop transported me to a bygone era of tranquility. An era exuding romance and chivalry that would surely captivate any young couple on the hunt for the perfect wedding spot.
From the instant I conversed with Carly and Josh, I immediately sensed that the bond they have is truly unique. Carly’s initial wish for their wedding was to create lasting memories of every detail, reflecting their deep appreciation for each moment shared. Upon arriving at the venue, I was immediately struck by the historical charm of the building and the majestic staircase that guided guests to the ceremony and reception area. The combination of the sturdy wooden railings of the staircase and the tin ceilings created an ambiance reminiscent of stepping into the grandest mansion in town, setting the stage for a memorable event.
Entering the ceremony space was truly breathtaking. Every detail of the space was expertly crafted with a personalized and stunning touch. As you walk into the space, you are greeted by a guest phone where the guests were able to leave a loving voicemail for the couple and some tissues to "dry those happy tears" away. I'm sure that Carly and Josh loved getting to hear those special memos as they enjoyed their honeymoon and will be able to cherish them for years to come. Let's not forget to mention the stunning white rose arches that framed the stage surrounded by tea lights along the edges of the room! To describe it in two words: absolutely beautiful!
The wedding cake at the Knobloch wedding was as delicious as it was beautiful. Crafted by "All Things Cake" from Tulsa, Oklahoma, the cake was a true highlight. Additionally, it was heartwarming that the baker provided the couple with a personalized "honeymoon cake" for them to enjoy later.
The bar concept that the couple chose for their wedding reception was truly beautiful and unique. They were very budget-conscious and opted for a self-serve wine and beer bar, which was a smart choice that allowed them to save money while still providing their guests with a great selection of drinks. To add some fun and excitement to the bar area, the couple also provided some bar games such as a photo scavenger hunt and a wedding day crossword puzzle, which were a big hit among the guests. These games were a great way for everyone to interact and have fun together, and they really added to the overall vibe of the reception. All in all, the couple did an amazing job creating a unique and memorable bar experience for their guests on their special day and it was one of my personal favorite elements.

When the evening was coming to a close, all of the cake eaten and everyone has danced until they dropped, it was time for the final celebration, streamers! This was of course my favorite moment from the entire day. As the newlyweds began their descent to the honeymoon suite and a lifetime of marital bliss, all of the guests tossed streamers in the air creating a cascade of gold ribbons upon the couple. It was both fun and made for some memorable photographs.
Working with Carly and Josh to coordinate their wedding was truly a rewarding experience that I will always hold dear.
